Band Bio

Now back in his native Norway after a long stint in the UK, guitarist Eirik Svela is establishing himself as an important voice amongst a new generation of jazz musicians in Oslo. In March 2018 he recorded his debut album in New York with the internationally acclaimed organ player Sam Yahel (Joshua Redman, Norah Jones) and tonight he presents some of that music. His band has performed extensively in Norway, and this UK edition features some great musicians including Jamil Sheriff (piano), Matt Anderson (saxophone) and Andrew Robb (bass), together with Magnus Eide, an up-and-coming Norwegian drummer with a fast growing reputation.
