Band Bio

Formed in 2019 in Lancaster, Flat 5 re-ignites a musical partnership between saxophonist Paul Froggatt and guitarist Eddie Waring, two experienced musicians who first worked together whilst students at Leeds College of Music some 40 years ago. With a strong rhythm section, the quintet pays homage to a wide range of jazz composers through well-orchestrated arrangements of works by Brecker, Hancock, Hubbard, Rollins and Shorter, to name but a few.
