Led by pianist Jeremy MacMurray, the Pocket Orchestra has been a fixture on the North-East’s jazz circuit for many years. Playing tonight as a trio, the band’s spirited approach to the standard jazz repertoire has earned it a loyal following on home turf, and for its second visit to Zeffirelli’s it features a rhythm section refined to perfection by decades working together in drummer Paul Smith and bassist Pete Ayton
