Funky chamber jazz; an all-acoustic performance from four fine and highly experienced players, with a repertoire covering everything from original compositions to the whole of Bernstein’s ‘West Side Story’ - in six minutes! Far from a relentless honkfest, the quartet’s carefully chosen repertoire will be punctuated in each half as individual players perform a solo piece with piano accompaniment.

Featuring: Sue Ferris- baritone; John Helliwell- tenor; Garry Linsley –alto; Stuart Johnson- soprano, with pianist Avril Johnson.

Northumbria? Well, the only quartet member not born within the boundaries of the ancient kingdom is now the only one who lives there.........
