Manchester-based Australian classically-trained jazz singer-songwriter Nishla Smith mixes wit and melancholy in her work. Her writing is distinctive and sensitive, her singing a delicate and versatile blend. The quintet is made up of younger Manchester scene stalwarts, all accomplished bandleaders in their own right.
