Cumbrian based guitarist Matt Cowe comes to Zeffirelli’s with a show featuring the music of American guitar legend Chet Atkins, playing classic country and swing tunes from the 50’s as well other tunes from Chet’s long career. Matt will also be playing some tunes by Chet’s sparring partner from the 70’s and beyond, the great Jerry Reed, along with some of his own tunes and arrangements.

Chet Atkins’ music has a unique nostalgic charm, full of melody and virtuosic playing and this will be a rare opportunity to hear this style live. Matt recreates Chet’s retro sound with an authentic line up featuring local musicians Steve Simpson on double bass, Jack Davies on drums and Jon Moore on rhythm guitar.
